We started off hosting Youth events under our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit corporation Yuniverse Foundation. Our first order of business was to use our connections through years of Reston events and programs to execute our vision.

2020-2023

Joseph Dagbe and Yuniverse Foundation have held multiple FREE camps for young boys and girls to play basketball. Over 130 kids played in a championship based tournament, and participated in the skills clinic that brought great energy and knowledge to the community. Since 2020 we've been partnered with Reston Hoops through Yuniverse to create 3v3 tournaments at local elementary schools in the South Lakes Pyramid to expand the interest in basketball.

“Endless Energy,” which brought together 300 middle and high schoolers for a basketball tournament. The event was held at the nZone on May 11th, 2019 and featured twenty four top 7th-9th grade basketball players in the area who participated in a 1v1 tournament. $2,000 in donations from generous supporters and local businesses were raised to cover event costs. Proceeds sent local kids in need to basketball camp that summer.  Kids said, “The Yuniverse Foundation offers them hope and gives them something to look forward to.”
